DISCOVER THE POWER OF ADVENTURE:

NISSAN PREMIERES DOCUMENTARY ON VIMEO ON DEMAND

  • Nissan presents ‘The Five Elements of Adventure', a stunning documentary exploring the power of adventure and its effect on our everyday lives
  • Nissan to premiere documentary on Vimeo On Demand
  • Users can download the documentary free of charge at http://www.nissan.eu/x‑trail-adventure.html

To celebrate the adventurous spirit of Nissan's X‑Trail, the auto manufacturer has created ‘The Five Elements of Adventure', a stunning documentary film set in the extreme and surreal landscapes of Nepal.

The film will be available to stream and download free of charge throughout April 2015 exclusively on Vimeo On Demand with the code NISSAN.

The documentary brings to life the work of world-class mountaineer, psychologist and author, Matt Walker as he joins four fellow adventurers from across Europe on an incredible journey of adventure and personal awakening.

Adapted from the book ‘Adventure In Everything', beautiful cinematography and insightful storytelling provide an inspiring exploration of the ‘Five Elements of Adventure': Adventure = -O [UO + P + M + C] (Out of the ordinary, Uncertain Outcome, Passion, Mindfulness, Companionship).

This ‘adventure formula' draws from the pivotal moments in Matt's own life and the insights gleaned from the hundreds of people he has led on his expeditions.

As he explains: "My work on the elements of adventure is about much more than just unlocking once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Embracing adventure can help us to build the skills we need to cope with the demands of daily life, and help us all to feel more confident and empowered."

"We are excited to power the release of this unique journey of adventure," said Sam Toles, VP of Acquisitions and Business Development, Vimeo.

Following the first month of release, the documentary will be available to download and own for a cost of €9.49 and to rent for a cost of €2,49.

Bastien Schupp, Vice President of Marketing, Nissan Europe, commented: "Vimeo is a natural fit because they make stand-out content and viewing technology available to everybody. Similarly, X‑Trail has made many of our future-leading technologies readily available to drivers, without the premium price-tag, as well as being a crossover vehicle designed for day-to-day life or your more adventurous side."

The new Nissan X‑Trail combines SUV heritage with the premium design and technology inspired by the brand's ground-breaking crossover models. Together they create a car that continues to redefine the increasingly popular crossover vehicle market across Europe.
