CIRCUIT ZOLDER PLAYS THE GREEN CARD
Clean week 2020 brings green mobility to the wider public
From May 5 to 8, Zolder was the ecological heart of European mobility. This second edition of Clean Week 2020 brought manufacturers, suppliers, media and the general public together around ecological state-of-art technology. Circuit of Zolder has the ambition to become the platform for initiatives on sustainable mobility.
After the professional day on Friday, the circuit was open to the public during the weekend. Entrance was free of charge. During the whole period, test drives with green vehicles were organized. Nissan Leaf was the car the most applied for.
CLEAN WEEK TOUR
In order to answer the curiosity of the people on ‘performance' the Circuit organized a Clean Week 2020 Tour during Saturday and Sunday allowing green cars (alternative powertrains or less than 115g CO²/km) to run an eco-rally of over 500 km through the province of Limburg with finals on the race track of Zolder.
Nissan Belgium registered one LEAF and contracted the specialist eco-drivers Filip Van Thielen and Bram Kerkhof from Key Drive Competences. That same company equipped the car with their Key Driving Training System linked to a datalogger. This equipment provided us with some very interesting data.

Finally, the NISSAN LEAF team won both Electric Vehicle category, leaving Tesla and Tazzari behind them, and the Overall Driver Performance Trophy.
